Wizard is the name given to man who practise sorcery independent of any School, despite their persecution by both the Thousand Temples and the Schools.[1]
The Schools hunt down and kill any known wizards so as to maintain their monopoly on the secrets of magic; therefore, wizards are extremely rare. In the year 4131, the only known wizard in the Three Seas is Drusas Achamian. While Anasûrimbor Kellhus also is a practitioner of sorcery who belongs to no School, he is believed to be a prophet of the God and so is instead classified as a Shaman.
